Ricarda Huch Topic C

Nominated multiple times, repeatedly overlooked: how to frame it carefully

Recognition language can become inflated quickly. A careful approach is better for readers and for credibility. Where public records are incomplete or secondary sources vary, use framing such as reported nominations or reported consideration unless the repository includes primary documentation.

This is not hedging for its own sake. It is basic editorial discipline. You can still communicate the broader point: Huch was widely respected, yet undertranslated into English and often absent from mainstream U.S. reading culture.

Editorial standard: strength of claim should match strength of evidence available in the project files.
